The purpose of my video is to explain to students and teachers how to use reading strategies when completing a reading passage. This tutorial demonstrates the process step-by-step to effectively complete all the reading strategies. The goal is to inform new teachers or teachers that have never taught a TAKS grade level the necessary skills to successfully complete a reading passage. In turn they are able to incorporate the reading strategies to use with their students when doing reading passages. This tutorial can also be shown to students as a form of lesson on reading strategies.
The purpose of my video is to explain to teachers how to create a basic digital story using Photo Story 3. The tutorial demonstrates the step by step procedures to successfully produce a video.The goal is for teachers to acquire the necessary skills to work with Photo Story and incorporate it to projects or fun activities for students. In this voice thred I have explained how to input points in the LIST of the calculator. When you input all the points at the end it will create a drawing. You can do this with any drawing, but drawings will involve less points some more, it depends on the complexity of the drawing. High school students use the LIST to find the equation of a line using the points in the LIST.
My jing was created for teachers and students who do not know the basic of adding a title, transition or an ending slide to their photo story. They first have to create the slide in publisher and save it as a jpeg file then import it into their photo story. Adding these types of slides is very useful if you want to created a photo story for the end of the year. The teacher can show the parents the different types of things the students were doing by creating different transition slides as i call them to seperate the different pictures.
The purposes of my tutorial utilizing jing was to share with teachers how to access a new resource that the district has provided to us for vocabulary instruction. We had a sister resource implemented last year but found many teachers did not use it because they were unaware of how to access the site and navigate within it. I plan to share this tutorial along with others to showcase how teachers can use this resource to enhance their vocabulary instruction.
The purpose of Project 3 Part 5 was to create either a VoiceThread or Jing file to use in our class or workplace that would show students or others how to do something via video. Since I will be teaching an undergraduate course and will need students to submit APA cited and academically well written reports, I decided to create a Jing video file to show students how to find current, peer reviewed journal articles through the University of Texas at Brownsville’s library databases. Although I only selected one database, I picked the most frequently used one to facilitate students’ findings.
