I believe that technology has changed but the methods are the same. When they were using the radio to listen to a lecture it might have been an old version of a radio where now we have ipods, a smaller device but effective just as well as the radio broadcast. In my observance of how many classrooms look to today is not much difference the only difference is the updated technology. Chalkboard to a Smartboard, overhead projector to a data projector or document camera (elmo), student desktop to computer desktop. The classroom has not changed only the technology has changed. Most classrooms are teacher centered and not student centered. The way that the classroom will change tomorrow is that teachers become facilitators instead of dictators. The only way this change will happen is that teachers are trained professionally on how to create student centered lesson and allow students to gain higher order thinking skills.
