  4. 2.  What is your subject matter expertise or interest?  In other words, what do you do well and what are you interested in learning more about?

  5. I thoroughly enjoy working with software, albeit, software that is intuitive enough that you need not spend years learning it.  Particularly, I like working in training environments where I present material related to software in a manner which learners can absorb easily without the frustrations that might accompany such learning environments.

    3.  Please specify grade level you would be most interested in working on (if you are in K-20) or what industry you would be interested in working with?

Since I am already working in a higher education (community college) setting, I would prefer working in a setting related to either freshman or sophomore instruction, but I would consider graduate level instruction in some technology related masters program since I feel those learners are more inclined to learn new materials and have a better understanding of technical/technology matters given a specific background.

    4.  What technologies are you competent/expert in using?

Currently, I would consider myself an expert in Blackboard Campus Edition, simply due to the amount of time I have spent training faculty and students on how to use this platform.  I have extensive troubleshooting experience on this platform as well, the majority being basically trial and error for end users that lack the troubleshooting skills to resolve technology issues within this platform.

  6.  5.  Are you familiar with any CMSs. If yes, which ones?

I have worked with the following CMS software from an administrator/developer perspective; WebCT Campus Edition 4.1, WebCT Campus Edition 6.0, and finally Blackboard Campus Edition 6 and 8.  As a student I have worked with Blackboard Academic Suite.

    6.  What would you like to accomplish by the end of this course?

I would like to have helped create and deploy instruction in an online medium for my assigned client so that other users can benefit from the instructional technology that is available.

    7.  What additional information would you like to share with me that may help to better match you with a client?

I am not sure how to answer this question...I guess, I'd like to be placed with a client who has a basic idea and understanding of the limitations of online learning and does not expect to peform miracles as some short sighted administrators tend to do (personal experience).  If a client has goals that are unattainable or unrealistic (client: "i'd like to use holograms within my online course since I saw that in a movie once", exaggerated example, but along the same vein of what is requested at times), it will lead to frustration and obviously sets up the project for failure.
