Hello, my name is Yvette Perez and I decided to continue the use of my account with UT Telecampus's web publishing space, Komodo. Since starting the Ed Tech program, I have used Komodo and feel quite comfortable with this online storage account as the directory includes folders of my various projects. What I like most about the Komodo storage space is that all content is backed up and includes the UT Telecampus 24/7 help desk. The set-up instructions are easy to follow and extremely helpful.
Hi, my name is Melissa Palestro and I will be using PBWorks as my storage device this semester. I opened a drop account and set up a PBWorks page because I continue to have problems with Komodo. I also requested an orange account, but haven't set it up yet.
Hi, my name is Julieta Montes and I decided to keep using Komodo server with UT telecampus because it is safe, we have a help desk very proactive and they help you whenever you have any problem 24/7. I strongly recommend Komodo, I have used it before in this MTT program and it's friendy and easy to use, you have enough space, it's free for us as students and I already and I am already familiar with it.
My name is Kim Ramsey and I decided to use the Googlesites. This is my very first ed tech class and this is all very very new to me. I already had the gmail account so thought I would be really easy to use with that log-in etc. Also everything google seems to be pretty user friendly, and with me being so new to all of this, I wanted something that was easy to understand. After looking at it, I felt I could navigate it easily. I am finding most tasks in these classes so far very very difficult for me.
My name is Gabriela Peña and I have decided to use Komodo. I have been using Komodo since I started with my Master’s in Educational Technology. I tried to open up an Orange account but since I don’t remember my UTB e-mail I couldn’t get access. I did open a DROP account to have just in case I encounter any problems with Komodo.
Hi, my name is Yolanda Martinez and I decided to use the PBWorks account for my storage device. It is a great webhosting service that I was introduced to early in the summer of 2009 and I have been using since. I love how I can link pages and upload files quickly and still manage several workspaces, files, and images. I am familiar and know how to use PBWorks and haven't been disappointed yet, so why change it. (EDTC 6341 Yolanda - Fall 2009) I will be saving all of my projects in the http://ymartinezelectronicportfolio.pbworks.com for my MTT certification and future trainings I will host.
I have decided to keep using my komodo account, because that is what I have been using since I started the Ed.Tech. program. I may decide to use another later while I am competing my e-portfolio, but for now it is better for me to keep all of my work in one place, so I can find it when I need it.

I have selected a PB works account as well. I had a wiki set up for one of my other graduate courses but I am having trouble accessing it because it used my work email which at the moment is deactivated so I had to set up a new wiki: http://star7154.pbworks.com. At the moment, it is pretty much a blank slate but hoping to update here shortly.
Hello, it's me, Daniela Guardiola. It took me a while to figure out what an orange account is, so I'm kind of running late in the game. I finally decided to open a PB Works account simply because not only can I store information there but I can also add a link to another should I run out of space. The url is : http://dguardiola.pbworks.com/
H my name is Corak Palmer. I have tried seting up my Orange account And I am not able to log in, so I requested a FlipDrive account. However you indicate it is not a good choice becacuse it will not allow me too save many things. I am checking to see if I cdan active my Orange account.
Hi, I am Luis Troncoso and I selected an orange account. I really don't see a difference so far between orange and gemini. I used a gemini account las summer, but since I had trouble accessing the gemini server this time, it was replaced with an orange account. I did request a komodo account as well, but I am still waiting for the log in information. I don't have much experience using any of these servers, so I guess using what is free can't hurt you, especially when they get the job done.

Hello, this is Claudia Salinas. I have been having trouble uploading because there is no space for me, so I had to improvise. I have requested an orange account, however I will be using my googledocs until I have my UTB email password reset..! I have never used either program, so I will be utilizing both until I decide which is easier to use!

I too requested an Orange online storage account. Previously, I had a Gemini account; however, student accounts are now under the Orange website. I like that the new Orange server allows the same space quota the the Gemini server afforded. Another benefit is its enhanced security. But like everyone else, I went for the convenience of FREE!

I chose PB works because I have used it for many projects throughout the EDTC program. It is a great collaborative tool and eases the strain on communication, because everyone can edit one document. I also have a komodo account, hotmail, gmail etc. They all can be used to store documents. I recently set up a Microsoft Office Live Workspace account, which is another great way to manage and share documents.

Since we will not be using the Komodo account (UTTC Telecampus), I had to make ta decision
I've decided to use the UTB- Orange account as it was recommended to me as being easy to use as well as free.
Yet, as in any file transfer utility, I've not found it to be "user friendly", although that's my personal opinion and have only used one other very similar File Transfer site. (at the cost of $9.95 pr. month!)

Seeing how Gemini will no longer be available to us I have decided to use UTB-Orange. The main reason I chose this storage device over all others is that it is FREE and it is provided by the University. I have not gotten the chance to use it, but hopefully it will prove to be easy, as Gemini was.

Hi Rosa,
I thought that Gemini was always a faculty tool, am I wrong about that? Did you mean Komodo?

I will be using a combination of UTB's Komodo account, and my own account that I've purchased for personal webhosting (http://www.leapfrogsandcartwheels.com).
I split the workload as follows: If the assignment will *not* be used in my ePortfolio, it goes on Komodo. If it *will* be used in my ePortfolio, it goes on my personal webhosting account.

I'll be using a combination of the Komodo account and Orange. Basic reason for using these, they're in the Orientation tasks AND THEY'RE FREE!!!
Free is a good thing.

I have decided to use and create my own wiki page: http://ocastillo.pbworks.com/
I wanted to keep everything simple, I have many accounts all over, files which I know I haven't seen or remember of since I created those accounts, (which then would bring me to think if there is just ONE mega super duper site that can consolidate everything!) [google docs would be the best thing]. I hope I'll keep on using the wiki page after this. On the plus side, I can mess up my wiki and work out the kinks than to mess up the class wiki.

Oh yeah, it's free, too.

Although I had been using Komodo quite extensively I've decided to try new other more viable options for storage; etc. What can I say, "Komodo" is free but it has not been user friendly. Needless to say, I intend on making more use of pworks this semester but will also be requesting an Orange account and will try to keep clear of Komodo. My wiki thus far is much easier to work with, gives me sufficient space to work with and it’s free. If I need more I’ll simply create another wiki and create links as has been suggested.

I will continue to use Komodo to store my work for right now. Eventually, as I continue to work on and develop my wiki I will transfer all files over from Komodo. The obvious benefit to eventually switching to pbwiki, as pointed out in our module, is to continue to have access to all my files when I finish my degree. Having spent a lot of time developing a portfolio and resume won't be of much good if I can't access it after graduation. I especially like being able to link one wiki to another if and/or when I fill up my current wiki.

I am going to use an Orange account. This is my first use of this type of storage account and the price was right.

I have requested an Orange account but seem to be having a problem getting the approval e-mail. I went ahead and set up a Google site today and I would like to set up a wiki as well. I plan on using the Google site for this class because of its ease of access. Google is my default browser and it's only 2 clicks into the site. My URL is http://sites.google.com/site6320lynda

I created my own wiki page at http://rballi.pbworks.com/. I have friends who have composed an e-portfolio using PB works for a Masters Program. I found this to be most interesting as I have never used a wiki before. I look forward to being able to store my work in a centralized location.

I already have a number of online storage accounts, including Komodo, Drop Box, Google, and my own in-house webserver (where my portfolio will eventually end up). I thought about storing my files on a public server but they are fairly limited in space and I have seen a lot of them come and go over the years.
