1.  Team Assignments Read the Knowledge Building Rubric.
2. Brainstorm a list of questions you think you need to answer to understand the scenario.

The following questions were compiled during our group discussion on October 15th.
Raul - a.  What is the current government & economic policies that are contributing to the possibility of a dust bowl in the southwestern portion of the Untited States.
Raul - b. What are the types of crops grown in this area?
Gladys - c. What other areas could be used to cultivate these crops?
Patricia - d. Could they be grown hydroponically inside a lab?
Patricia - e. What actions can be presented to conserve water?
Gladys - f. What impact would a new dust bowl formation have on our economy?
Shannon - g. Could we have other vegtation grow within the crops to anchor the soil?
Shannon - h. What other farming methods are being used to alleviate a dust bowl in the area?
Jose - i. What does the research state is the cause of the lack of rain in the area?
Jose - j. Compare the reactions of the 1935 dust storms to what has happened in Arizona just months ago & the wildfires in Bastrop, TX.

3. Post your questions in Discussion Space. (post to wiki - Shannon)

4. Review your teammates' questions.
On Saturday, October 15th Jose, Patricia, Raul & Shannon met via the Bb classroom to discuss our questions and devise a plan to investigate further the scenario in question.

 5. List the key questions and plan how to investigate them as a team.
As a group we have decided to divide the questions up equally. Each team member will research the question and post their findings to our group wiki page by midnight, Saturday October 15th. The answers will be emailed to Shannon and she will post them to the wiki by Sunday at 9 am. After this task is completed we will then upload our findings individually on the ESSEA site.

** We will also find hands on lesson ideas - videos, field studies, books, journal articles, websites, etc. to support our answers.

6. List answers to your questions as you build knowledge together.

Answers to the questions have been posted by each individual team member in the wiki discussion page and we have also compiled a master file that will be uploaded by each of us to the ESSEA course module Cycle A Team Assignment.

7. By the end of the cycle, develop a team problem statement and post it in Discussion Space.
After researching and compling expert and critical data analysis on a possible Dust Bowl in South Western United States, our team will propose policy to address drastic changes in water resources and how to minimize the possiblities of a future Dust Bowl.

After colloborating we have concluded that various resources have supported our theories on how to prevent future dust bowls.

8. Upload assignment to your Portfolio (ESSEA) for a grade.

We also need to comment on at least one of our team member's reflection for the individual assignment.
